Today was my turn in the kid swap I arranged for some friends. They watched the kids while Arley and I went to Sonic and the bowling alley with two quick stops at the co-op and the thrift store for our anniversary last Monday. Today the kids came to our house so they could get stuck in Cosco after they shut the doors because there was a tornado producing storm running through the area.
We had a really fun time, sitting in the basement ourselves for about 20 minutes while wind and storm passed by our house. It left a huge puddle in the front yard as it swept past the area and that was the greatest! One of the girls said to me, “God gave us this great puddle to play in for the day”! I agreed and said that he was indeed an awesome God!
I saw so many photo ops but was camera less most of the day. Here are a few that I did get to take in between amusing 7 kids (Only because Arley came home for a break on his way through and took Eden for me so I could run around and check on the kids).
My kids are around here somewhere…. oh, there they are – in our own personal eye of the tornado.
