Good song. Anyway –
Yesterday was a pretty trying morning for me. I am coming down with a cold. I feel tired and scratchy and heavy. It was also 90 degrees and 89% humidity. We were getting ready to leave for our WIC appointment when I realized that the keys had been locked in the car the other day. So I called and said we were going to be late and grabbed the stroller and the boy’s bikes and off we went. They did so good, considering it was 2 miles in the heat and sun and we made it in 30 minutes or less (Abe’s legs were pedaling so fast). Let’s just say that by 11am, I was ready for my day to be done.
I tried to stay inside with Eden most of the rest of the day and get some chores done. And really, the day went pretty good after that, even though I was sleep walking through most of it. The UPS man brought be a free bag of Russell Stover’s chocolate, Wayne with ACM called and said that we are actually about 80% funded and things look great for us going over in February, the kids are taking to our new “rules” pretty well and listening a ton better, Solomon actually took a nap, we got to meet with our pastor about Eden’s detication this weekend and had a really nice/needed visit, and did I mention that my husband is the best and I love him so much! 🙂 Also, on our way home from our appointment, we literally almost ran into our friends from preschool. Josh, Jake, and their mom are such need people and I really have enjoyed getting to know them when we would drop off and pick up Josh and Sol. We are hopefully going to get together sometime in the next couple weeks before we move.
Speaking of moving, we have our truck reserved for August 28th and 29th! Two more weeks to pack and visit with friends before we learn a new norm!
Today, Solomon earned his first .20 cents! He was very proud. Abe earned .08 cents but didn’t really get the concept at all. They both put it in there shorts pockets. Solomon still has his, Abraham doesn’t know where his went. Oh well.
Eden is on the verge of laughing. I can’t wait.
Also, several of you have asked about ACM. They have a new website and it is easier to navigate! Come over and check it out! www.africanchildrensmission.com
Hey, what are the new “rules” 🙂
Hey Miranda, it was great to see and the kiddo’s as well! We were wondering if you guys are free this Thursday or Friday? You could come to our house, the kids can play and I can make a simple lunch. Let me know what you think, if one day works better for you and a good time (with a new baby and naps and all) !! Hope to hear from you soon!
By the way….love the posts! Your boys are very adventurous, and fun!
