May Newsletter

Winter is becoming Spring, grass is starting to turn green, and we are still here. Sometimes, I don’t understand why we are where we are, why we feel so stuck. We try, every day, to wait on God, but it gets hard to be positive and not feel we are wasting time in this fast paced nation we live in.
Our days lately consist of doing school with the kids, and waiting for the phone to ring. Our hearts ache to be in such limbo. We wait, and we pray, and we wait. It gets hard answering the questions. The kids questions, our supporters questions, our future supporters questions, our own questions.
I have been studying David’s life lately through Beth Moore. Learning that God’s choices don’t always make sense to us. Being reminded that it was 15 years between the time God anointed David until he became King. Not one of those years was wasted. God taught that submission to himself is the best preparation for an ‘assignment’ from him. Being comforted that I can keep coming back to God for confirmation, when we start wavering and wondering, that this is truly his will in our lives. Being reminded that God is always preparing us to serve him, and he rarely prepares us in ways we would expect. That when we are in our comfort zone, God can’t use us as easily. Re-committing ourselves to God, to continue to do good for those who are suffering, and doing this because this is the will God has on our lives.
At the end of May, we are flying out to the Seattle, Washington area for some family time and fund-raising. Please join us in prayer for
1. Safe Travels
2. God working on the hearts of those he will call to come beside and support our ministry
3. Great bonding time with Arley’s family
This is our prayer and plea;
2Sam 8: 25-26
And now, Lord God, keep forever the promise you have made considering your servant and his house. Do as you promised, so that your name will be great forever. Then men will say, “The Lord Almighty is God over Isreal!” And the house of your servant David will be established before you.
