Another month, another church seems to be the way God is working!

This has been a great few weeks as well as a tough few weeks. I was able to talk with Danie Packard of Community Church of Thief River. I found out that this is the same church that worked with Tapestries of Life, a mission organization where my Grandfather spent many years working with in Texas. Danie said during our talk he thought he had heard of me, but it was Grandpa he had heard of. This is easily mistakable because we have the same name. It is exciting to think of Grandpa and myself doing God’s ministry, and made me miss him all at that much more. We have another opportunity to present our missions work to Roseau Community Church on the 5th of June. Both of these contacts came from a greeting card from my aunt Kathy. Thank you Kathy for heading the Holy Spirit and being an instrument for Him! We have been inundated today with calamity, amidst fundraiser planning and setting up meetings and talks with potential supporters. Solomon fell while climbing on the porch post and hit the cement, resulting in a deep tissue bruise on his backside. Abe stepped on a nail which pierced his foot and Eden fell against a table hitting her ear in the process. Please pray for us Satan is working overtime to keep us occupied and off the course God has for us. Another prayer request is for the coming together of our fundraiser that we are planning for July 6th. More details to come, but please save the date and come out to visit and support our efforts. Today while I was 15 feet back in an attic taking out old blown insulation, to put in new, all covered with dust and such I heard a voice” would you rather do this or be in Africa?” I said Africa. Please pray for me as I step way out of my comfort zone and work harder to reach the goal God has set before us to be in Uganda by 1/1/14.
