That really should be added to the list of naughty words in our house! This Friday started out as the day Solomon would get his cast off and turned into a “family” visit lasting over 3 hours! First Arley and myself got our last shots for Africa. I feel fine, but Arley feels like he got hit in the side of the arm with a 2×4 (I don’t even want to know why he knows what that feels like!). And then Solomon got his cast off. While he was doing that and getting more x rays, Abraham was having a 3 yr well child check. His eyes are 20/25. Solomon’s arm is still tender, although he neglected to tell the doctor that! This morning I started suspecting that Eden might have her first ear infection so I asked the doctor to look at her also. Sure enough, Eden has an ear infection (and HATES her medicine with a passion)! Then the nurse was busy so we sat and waited a long while for Solomon’s kindergarten shots (FOUR!! of them). I was looking at Sol’s wrist and he said, ow, be careful, that hurts mom! So when the nurse came in I told her that and after waiting to see if the doctor wanted to see him again, he did. Again, back to the casting room to get a splint fitted to his wrist and off to the pharmacy for Eden’s amoxicillin (praying that she is not allergic to it because that is all we need in our last week here in North Branch). But, we did get to have Dairy Queen afterwards, you know – since Arley didn’t cry while getting his shot. 🙂 he he

Well, that explains why I was prompted to pray for you all today!
