We started this past weekend thinking, OK! Bring on the chaos!!! And by the end of the weekend, we are in utter awe! God is so amazing, why I am suprised? This weekend started out with my husband ripping his car apart to diagnose and illiminate until he found that he had a chipped valve. He was able to do all the work himself saving hundreds of dollars because of this amazing guy that he bought his car from. This man works at the Chevy dealer in town and had Arley go into the shop to pick up tools, without him even being there! Just amazing. We also had a wonderful time at my brother/nana/dad’s birthday dinner in one of the most beautiful towns, Saint Paul on Saturday evening. I did feelĀ a tad guilty leaving my cousin at our house alone a few hours after she got there. The reason she was there was to visit with Steve Brewer who runs Tapestries of Life www.tapestriesoflife.com who was speaking at Willowbrook church on Sunday morning. On Sunday, we loaded up the car to head to church to see Steve and hear a very motivating sermon!
Then another birthday dinner that night, after a lunch out at the races with some members of the church, and sending my cousin off this morning. I am getting tired just thinking about all that happened. But, we are very excited because this pastor believes in missions the same way that we do. We have no job descroption, we have no idea why we are going where we are going other than because He told us to. Some people think that is a risk and do not want to support that, but this pastor understands. We will be going to speak with their missions board and hopefully this will jump start the process and help us get out of the small rut we fell into. We also got a check for $1000.00 dollars unexpectedly this weekend also for our missions!!!! Yeah God and pass me a pillow.
